This article is based on qualitative research carried out by the Sociology Department of the University of Murcia and the Oblatas Programme, focusing on the needs of transgender people in prostitution (TPEP) in the Region of Murcia. Through in-depth interviews with 18 TPEPs and 10 professionals from the fields of social work, health, security and administration, their life trajectories, living conditions, experiences of exclusion and expectations for the future are explored. The results reveal situations marked by multiple discrimination - transphobia, racism, stigmatisation of sex work - that severely limit access to fundamental rights such as employment, health and housing. The analysis, from an intersectional perspective, allows us to understand how these forms of exclusion are structurally articulated. Based on the findings, measures aimed at the effective inclusion and institutional recognition of trans identities in contexts of prostitution are proposed. The article proposes the need for more innovative social policies and practices, capable of responding to diversity with transformative strategies that recognise difference not as a problem, but as an opportunity to build a more equitable and inclusive society.
