Comprehensive training for young football players: Technical, physical, and psychological readiness for global competitions
(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2025) Kyselov, Valerii; Sakhnenko, Anna; Vorona, Vita; Skrypka, Iryna; Yeremenko, Larysa; Sin departamento asociado
This study aimed to identify the main factors influencing the effectiveness of training football players in adolescence to achieve high results at the international level. The study used methods of analysing scientific literature, observing training processes and competitions, and experimental approaches to assessing athletes’ physical and psychological fitness. It included 136 football players: men (n = 92; 67.65%) and women (n = 44; 32.35%). The age range was 14–22 years old and the average age 19.6. The results showed that adapting training programmes to the individual needs of athletes and considering the sociocultural context plays a key role in ensuring their competitiveness in international competitions. The analysis of technical and tactical indicators of young football players before and after the implementation of practical recommendations showed significant improvements: an increase in the number of short and medium passes forward (from 74±23 to 105±24, p<0.05) and backward (from 62±19 to 84±25, p<0.05), which indicates better ball control and pace of the game. The decrease in technical errors confirms the improvement in technical stability, while the number of long passes remained unchanged (p>0.05), probably due to their selective use. The study’s results may be helpful for coaches, sports psychologists, and sports institution managers in developing training programmes for young athletes.

Introduction:This study analyses the perception of preparedness among aspiring early childhood and primary school teachers in Spain, within a selective regulatory framework that influences strategies and experiences. Objectives:To evaluate how methodologies and resources, content structure, trainer support, and emotional factors are associated with perceived preparedness, and to verify differences by gender and age. Methodology:Cross-sectional quantitative questionnaire with a self-administered questionnaire (35 items, 4 blocks; α= 0.979) administered online to 102 participants, and performing a specific statistical analysis (Spearman's rho, Mann-Whitney, and Kruskal-Wallis). Results:Overall positive perceptions (means 2.67-3.52); higher scores in punctuality/time management and legislation; lower scores in emotional support, work-life balance, and teaching innovation. Strong correlations between all blocks and overall preparation (ρ=.845-.983), highest in structure/content; no significant differences byage (H=3.78; p=.286) or gender (U=961; p=.382). Conclusions:The preparation perceived by candidates depends above all on curriculum alignment, good methodological practices, and coaching; operational priorities (transparent feedback, authentic simulations, and emotional support).

The role of motivational support in shaping the training activity of young athletes
(Servicio de Publicaciones. Universidad de Murcia, 2026) Skrypka, Iryna; Chyzh. Viktor; Leshchenko, Hennadii; Kuryliuk, Serhii; Buhrii, Stanislav; Sin departamento asociado
This study analyzed modern approaches to motivating young athletes based on Deci and Ryan’s self determination theory, Dweck’s growth mindset theory, and Wallerand’s concepts of motivational profiling. Particular attention was paid to a critical analysis of traditional training methods that focus mainly on physical fitness and technical skills, often ignoring the specific psychological needs of young athletes. It is shown that effective motivation of athletes goes beyond a simple desire to win and includes intrinsic motivation, social and emotional competencies, psychological stability and creative thinking. A comparative analysis of international practices of working with talented young athletes, in particular the successful experience of the Scandinavian countries, was carried out. The influence of socio-economic factors on the development of sports talents and the problem of inequality of opportunities for children from low-income families was investigated. The modern possibilities of using digital technologies, adaptive learning and artificial intelligence to personalize the training process are considered. The importance of professional development of coaches and the need for their training to work with talented young athletes are emphasized. The study indicated the need to develop comprehensive motivational support programs that would take into account the individual needs of each athlete and contribute to the formation of a competitive generation of national sport.
