    Abstract: During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the Spanish science has been characterized as a dependent science of the researches and scien - tific discoveries in Europe, especially those proceeding from France, one of the most pro - minent countries in the continent at the cultural and scientific level. In this context, the needs to have access to these discoveries and researches provoked an augmentation of the translation in Spain. Nevertheless, some treatises originally written in Spanish acquired relevance and pres - tige in Europe, among which it is found Simón de Rojas Clemente y Rubio’s Ensayo sobre las variedades de la vic común que vegetan en An - dalucía. This paper focuses the reception and the translation of this book in France, having into account the interest of enology as an emer - gent science during the nineteenth century.

    Una ensoñación efímera de M. Verne (1888-1906).

    Resumen: En este artículo mostramos el camino recorrido por Un express de l'avenir a través de la prensa francesa, española, británica y americana, entre 1888 y 1906. Este relato breve ha sido durante mucho tiempo atribuido a Jules Verne y continúa siéndolo. Realizamos un rastreo documental en las hemerotecas de las bibliotecas nacionales española y francesa, un análisis de las versiones y un estudio comparativo. Se trata de traducciones / adaptaciones diferentes que ofrecen una perspectiva de la influencia del nombre Verne en su época.

    Estudio del catálogo de novelas francesas (1863-1926) traducidas por Sara Insúa-Próspero Miranda.

    Este artículo es una contribución a la historia de la recepción de la literatura francesa en España, planteada especialmente a partir de la prensa. Nuestra investigación se centra en el estudio de novelas francesas (28), de facturas diversas (16), de tiempos distintos (1863-1926) que forman un singular compendio de obras traducidas principalmente entre 1915 y 1926 por la escritora Sara Insúa. La reconstitución de este catálogo de escritoras y escritores y su examen evidencian una aparente heterogeneidad que se resuelve en una dualidad sustanciada en la repercusión de la novela rosa femenina decimonónica y la fortuna contemporánea de la novela francesa de la Belle Époque. Este corpus propone al cabo una lectura polimorfa/poliédrica de la compleja sociedad europea finisecular en tránsito hacia el siglo XX, y sus turbulentas primeras décadas.

    El factor extralingüístico en la traducción (francés-español) de expresiones marcadas culturalmente: relación "sine qua non" en el proceso traslativo

    Abstract: This work addresses the importance of extra - linguistic factors in the field of translation. In particular, we focus on the importance of these factors in the of the translations of a series of expressions obtained from the films L’auberge espagnole and Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au Bon Dieu ? , as done by the students in the grado in Traducción e Interpretación of the University of Malaga and by those of the Alliance Fran - çaise of Malaga. First, we begin with a theo - retical course focused on the importance of cultural knowledge for the translator. Secondly, we present the results of the survey made by the students of the two institutions mentioned above in order to be able to compare the re - sults obtained and confirm what we defend in our work: the importance of the extralinguistic factor in translation. Finally, we finish the work with the conclusions, where we will outline the working approach I would like to follow.

    Paremiología: perspectivas interdisciplinares.

    Abstract: This research belongs to the paremiology, the scientific discipline dedicated to the paremias or brief and sententious statements. This disci- pline was created in the 20 th century and established in the 21 st century, which distinguishes the French and Spanish paremiography from the paremiography observed in the Middle Ages. After selecting a repertoire of French paremias, which will serve as the base of the present work, we will study the relationship between paremiology and terminology, between theory and practice of translation. This study will show the values of the paremias and therefore the utility of the paremiological research to deepen in the knowledge of the language and the culture of a country.

    La recepción de Robbe-Grillet en España (Iª parte): la década de los cincuenta.

    This work studies the reception of the French novelist Alain Robbe-Grillet in Spain in the 1950s, with particular attention to the translations of his first three novels, which were published in Spanish under the titles La doble muerte del profesor Dupont, El mirón and La celosía in the series “Biblioteca Breve” by Seix Barral. Together with the figure of the translator, we study the paratext of the edition covers, which are considered relevant for the creation of a particular image, as well as the context of cultural autarchy at the time. The publication of the book by J. M. Castellet La hora del lector in 1957 and the First International Colloquium of the Novel in Formentor in 1959 are two relevant landmarks for the study of the author’s reception in the Spanish literary landscape.

    Recepción española de Marcelle Tinayre: traducciones, imagen y crítica.

    Marcelle Tinayre fue una de las novelistas francesas más famosas del primer tercio del siglo XX. Este artículo pretende trazar la presencia española de la autora, sobre todo hasta los años 30, en los tres ámbitos de la traducción, la imagen de la mujer y la escritora, y la recepción crítica. En cuanto a la traducción, destaca el papel del novelista español Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, que concedió a M. Tinayre un lugar destacado en el catálogo de su editorial, Prometeo. Tanto para la imagen como para la recepción crítica, la prensa periódica es un instrumento esencial. Los documentos reunidos, aunque no sean muy numerosos, son suficientes para trazar un retrato personal y literario de M. Tinayre.

    The process of phraseological translation

    The translation of texts using PUs represents a challenge that has been studied over the years from different points of view. This is a review of the research carried out over the last two decades in relation to the different stages of the phraseological translation process, taking as a starting point the general framework for this type of translation proposed by Gloria Corpas in 2003. This framework is divided in three stages: identification of the PUs in the source text, interpretation of the identified PUs and the establishment of equivalents in the target language, first at the lexical level and then at the textual level. Then, there will be an overall analysis of the contributions of numerous Spanish authors on specific aspects of each of the process stages and on the necessary phraseographic and paremiographic works to reach the correspondences in the target language of the PUs inserted in the original text.

    La traducción fraseológica en ausencia de obras fraseográficas y paremiográficas

    La ausencia de obras fraseográficas y paremiográficas en algunas lenguas impide la aplicación de las técnicas de traducción fraseológica que algunos investigadores han ido proponiendo durante los últimos años. Por este motivo, hemos considerado muy conveniente llevar a cabo un estudio conducente a implementar técnicas de traducción adaptadas a la ausencia o a una presencia mínima de obras de consulta especializadas en UF. En este sentido, se propone una metodología cualitativa, según la cual se lleva a cabo la traducción de un corpus constituido por 302 locuciones extraídas de la novela Las ratas (Delibes, 1962) sobre la base de la competencia lingüística y la competencia fraseológica del traductor y con la ayuda de un conjunto muy limitado de diccionarios. Como consecuencia de este análisis, se ha detectado una serie de pautas a partir de las cuales se han desarrollado nuevas técnicas de traducción fraseológica adaptadas a la ausencia de obras fraseológica y paremiológicas.

    Traducción y equivalencias en la fraseología español-francés.

    Abstract: Phraseology has always been a true challenge for Second Language Teaching. We have to outline a bridge between cultures of both languages in order to know what it is understood by each unit. This way is translation; however, it is not easy to find an exact equivalent, since the semantic and cultural components play an important role. In this study we want to indicate, from a Spanish-French methodological perspective, which is the best means to translate phraseologisms, considering the equivalence degrees and the difficulties when we deal with this challenge. Moreover, we include some strategies for the translation of phraseology which match up with the different options that the translator has at his/her disposal in order that the target text is as faithful as possible to the source text, always taking into account the context.

    Traducir el Caribe, una travesía rizomática. Propuestas para una traducción feminista y descolonial a partir de Traversée de la Mangrove, de Maryse Condé.

    Resumen: El Caribe ha sido, a lo largo de los siglos, un espacio testigo de los choques e influjos de múltiples pueblos, cuyas semillas han terminado fructificando en cosmovisiones y lenguas insospechadas. Deste este espacio emergen voces resistentes que aspiran a romper el silencio epistemológico y literario que la hegemonía occiental ha querido imponerles, es el caso de la guadalupeña Maryse Condé. En este contexto, nuestro artículo tendrá como propósito reflexionar sobre la interración entre los conflictos identitarios vinculados con la etnia, el género y la lengua, todos provocados por la llaga del colonialismo, a través del ejemplo de Traversé de la Mangrove. Tenemos en este texto un complejo contrapunto en el que dialogan la cultura oral de los ancestros y la escrita de los colonizadores, lo que planteará grandes desafíos traductológicos. Así, nuestro objetivo será sugerir una serie de perspectivas y estrategias para emprender una traducción ética y comprometida con el proyecto de la autora.

    Traduction et particularités socio-culturelles. De la faisabilité du transfert des éléments culturels dans les nouvelles de Jalal Al Ahmad

    Translating and transferring the meaning has always been considered the most delicate phase of translation. Despite their effort to appropriately transfer the meaning during the process of translating a source text into a target text, sometimes even the most experienced translators feel unable to offer a translation worthy of its source value. The problem does not arise only at the level of the transfer of the notions, it goes well beyond a simple translation. The problem arises more precisely at the level of the transfer of the context, the atmosphere created by the author and the thematic universe of the work so that it is capable of producing the same reactions, the same motivations and the same emotions to the potential reader. The temporal issue also comes into play, as well as those related to culture, including religion, politics, society, rituals, habits and customs. The latter, whose chosen equivalents almost never have the same effects or the same reactions on the potential reader in the target text, are called "zero equivalence". In the course of this research, after reviewing the Newmark model, we will discuss the effectiveness and feasibility of the model in question on the Persian cultural elements and concepts in the translation of Persian works into French. We will also be careful to see if we can apply Newmark's methodology on cultural elements during a translation, and whether this model is sufciently comprehensive to understand all the conceptual aspects of Persian popular culture. Our corpus will consist of the four short stories of Jalal Al-Ahmad, writer, critic and translator of Persian works of the second half of the 20th century known for his works of Franco-Persian folk literature.

    UF en la contextualización de novela histórica y su traducción

    Las UF pueden cumplir diversas funciones en un texto literario (caracterización de personajes, por ejemplo). En esta investigación pretendemos demostrar la posibilidad de utilizar UF para recrear el ambiente en una novela histórica. También se quiere valorar en qué medida se mantiene esta función en la traducción. Para ello, hemos seleccionado la fraseología de la novela El capitán Alatriste (Pérez-Reverte y Pérez-Reverte, 1996) con elementos que la relacionen con la época en la que se desarrolla la acción. Se ha llevado a cabo un análisis hermenéutico y se ha comparado la expresión en la lengua original y en la versión inglesa para establecer en qué grado se mantiene la función contextualizadora. Se ha elegido esta novela por la cuidadosa investigación histórica y la recreación de los escenarios en los que se desarrolla la acción. En esta investigación, demostramos que la utilización de determinadas UF también contribuye a dicha recreación.
