Estudios de diseño. Una perspectiva prometedora en la investigación educativa
(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) Rinaudo, María Cristina; Donolo, Danilo
The goal of this paper is promoting the discussion of design based research (DBR) among Iberoamerican researchers. This paper indentifies that the acceptance of designs based research in our countries lags behind the acceptance in Europe and the USA. It is now a good time for discussing design based research because its value and viability is undergoing thorough analysis. We think that design based research is a useful tool not only for researchers focusing on learning through new communication and information technologies but also for the formation of educators in general. In this paper we first describe and provide bibliographical background on DBR. The paper then deals with methodological aspects of DBR. Finally, the paper explains how to avoid common pitfalls applying DBR.
