    Los MOOC en la línea del tiempo: una revisión sistemática de literatura

    Los cursos online masivos y abiertos (MOOC) se han convertido en un fenómeno educativo emergente con un enorme potencial de transformación y democratización educativa. Luego de casi una década de su primer lanzamiento, gran cantidad de investigación se ha realizado para intentar comprender sus alcances y limitaciones como instrumento de aprendizaje flexible y personalizado. Con el propósito de aumentar tal comprensión, se ha llevado a cabo una revisión sistemática de literatura sobre estudios publicados entre 2009 y 2019 acerca de los MOOC. Se aplicó un método de 6 pasos para revisar 486 estudios, a partir de procesos de filtrado, abstracting, lectura en profundidad y extracción e interpretación de datos. Los resultados muestran una gran cantidad y diversidad de focos de investigación sobre los MOOC, algunos en auge, otros en declive y otros de naturaleza efímera. Se resaltan entre ellos las Prácticas Educativas Abiertas, el diseño de los MOOC, el engagement, la deserción y el conectivismo. Los focos de investigación representan las principales preocupaciones de educadores e investigadores sobre lo que pareciera ser el advenimiento de un nuevo orden educativo que soportaría el aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida y los entornos de aprendizaje enmarcados en la sociedad 4.0

    Say on pay and executive compensation: a systematic review and suggestions for developing the field

    Say on pay (SOP) is a form of shareholder activism where shareholders express their opinions on executive compensation by casting a vote in the annual general meeting. To date, although a large variety of results, antecedents and outcomes have been mentioned and discussed, knowledge about SOP is still limited. This study, through a systematic literature review of 44 articles on SOP published between 2010 and 2018 in finance and management journals, aims to explore our understanding of SOP effectiveness by analyzing its conceptualization, theoretical foundations, methodological issues, antecedents and derived outcomes. After identifying some common patterns in SOP effectiveness that reflect a specific governance contextualization, we provide a guide to develop future research in the field, highlighting key implications for human resource management academics and practitioners.

    Systematic literature review on the state of the art and future research work in anonymous communications systems

    Privacy is an important research topic due to its implications in society. Among the topics covered by privacy, we can highlight how to establish anonymous communications. During the latest years we have seen an important research in this field. In order to know what the state of the art in the research in anonymous communication systems (ACS) is, we have developed a systematic literature review (SLR). Namely, our SLR analyzes several issues: activity performed in the field, major research purposes, findings, what the most ACS study, the limitations of current research, how is leading the research in this field and the most highly-cited articles. Our SLR provides an analysis on 203 papers found in conferences and journals focused on anonymous communications systems between 2011 and 2016. Thus, our SLR provides an updated view on the status of the research in the field and the different future topics to be addressed.

    Talent management and employees with disabilities: a systematic literature review in the context of COVID-19

    Purpose: The purpose of this literature review is, first, to understand how employees with disabilities in the context of COVID-19 have been studied under the talent management (TM) approach; second, to explore what we know about the predictors and outcomes that have been linked to TM practices in that area; and third, to identify gaps in our understanding and provide insights for future research. Design/methodology/approach: This paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) based on 38 academic sources published in high-impact indexes from 2020 to 2023. Findings: The existing research shows COVID-19 as a crucial context that led organizations to more precarious and segmented TM practices, which had negative consequences for employees with disabilities, both at the individual level (reduced satisfaction and income, and increased health issues) and the organizational level (increased unemployment, turnover and discrimination as well as declining performance and productivity). Originality/value: This paper provides essential contributions to the field of TM in the relatively unexplored context of employees with disabilities since the emergence of COVID-19. Our literature review suggests there is significant room for developing and implementing adjusted TM strategies and practices to foster effective inclusiveness, accommodations and supportive work environments for employees with disabilities. From this evidence, a number of key avenues for future research and key implications for academics and practitioners are provided.

    The use of films in the teaching of English as a foreign language: a systematic literature review

    Background:Especially over the last decades, the use of cinema in the English as a foreign language (EFL) class has been gaining momentum. Although this interest has resulted in a complex body of research, no review to date had aimed to systematically map out (i) the pedagogical guidelines available for English teachers to implement films in class; (ii) the perceptions of EFL teachers and learners on the educational use of films; and (iii) the impact of cinema‑based EFL on students’ learning, pertinent aspects as they contribute to deactivate instructors’ reported reluctance to use films as a proper teaching material. Thus, a systematic literature review has been conducted along the three previously‑mentioned research questions with the aim of highlighting in a com‑prehensive manner the robust pedagogical value of cinema in EFL contexts.Methods:A systematic search was carried out in Web of Science, ERIC, MLA Interna‑tional Bibliography, Education Database, and Scopus, which were last consulted on 2 December, 2022. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, which covered journal papers written in English, peer‑reviewed, published in open‑access, and focusing on the exploitation of films for the teaching of English as a foreign language. Following the search and selection stages, a coding scheme was established, and the authors conducted a thematically based qualitative analysis to answer the research questions. Reliability was tested to check the agreement rate among the researchers.Findings:Of the 416 sources found, 44 were eligible. Twenty‑five percent of the selected references consist of theoretical or practical methodological orientations for the implementation of films in the EFL class, 16% of the sources explore EFL teach‑ers’ and students’ perceptions on the educational use of films, and the remaining 59% of the references tap into the impact of cinema‑based EFL on students’ learning. The results revealed that more informed guidelines on the exploitation of this resource are needed, that both instructors and teachers have a great attitude towards this method, and that films provide EFL learners with linguistic, intercultural, and motivational benefits.Interpretation:On a general note, scholars have adopted a narrow focus when exploring cinema‑based English teaching since they only address some of its benefits and they have mostly concentrated on the University educational context. Specific research gaps are highlighted in relation to each research further research are proposed.
