La estructura del texto literario y el placer orgásmico. El caso de tres narradoras mexicanas recientes
    (2015-04-23) Vivero Marín, Cándida Elizabeth
The relationship between body and writing has been studied by the feminist narratology. This discipline conceives a very close relationship between the textual and orgasmic pleasure. So, the objective of this paper is to analyze three texts of three Mexican female writers in order to see if there is a multiorgasmic proposal in their texts, this means, a literary structure created since the feminine sexual pleasure.

Experimental reproduction of acute pneumonic pasteurellosis in rabbits
    (Murcia : F. Hernández, 1993) Redondo, E.; Masot, A.J.; Gázquez, A.; Roncero, V.; Durán, E.; Piriz, S.
A histomorphometric and physiopathological study was made of the lung parenchyma of Belgian White SPF rabbits infected experimentally with Pasteurella multocida type A. Symptoms observed were characteristic of the acute respiratory syndrome. Mean serum cortisol concentration and rectal temperature increased in al1 experimental groups. Histopathological changes included alveolitis and leukocytic bronchitis. Changes in alveolar and bronchial cytoarchitecture were attributed to the degeneration and necrosis of constituent epithelial cells.

Histopathological characteristics of adenomyosis: structure and microstructure
(Universidad de Murcia. Departamento de Biología Celular e Histología, 2023) Liu, Ziyu; Guo, Yanxian; Pan, Xinyi; Yang, Xing
Adenomyosis is a benign uterine disease that pathologically shows endometrial glands and stroma in the myometrium. There are multiple lines of evidence that adenomyosis is associated with abnormal bleeding, painful menstruation, chronic pelvic pain, infertility, and spontaneous pregnancy loss. Pathologists have researched adenomyosis by studying tissue specimens from its first report more than 150 years ago, and differing viewpoints on its pathological alterations have been advanced. However, the gold standard histopathological definition of adenomyosis remains controversial to date. The diagnostic accuracy of adenomyosis has steadily increased due to the continual identification of unique molecular markers. This article provides a brief description of the pathological aspects of adenomyosis and discusses adenomyosis categorization based on histology. The clinical findings of uncommon adenomyosis are also presented to offer a thorough and detailed pathological profile. Furthermore, we describe the histolog

Morphological changes in the mink area postrema during growth and under different stages of sexual activity
    (Murcia : F. Hernández, 2002) Aleman, N.; Cerutti, P.; Guerrero, F.
The histological features of the area postrema (AP) of mink brains of both sexes were investigated at different ages and physiological conditions with light and electron microscopy. The mink AP was a twin-winged structure located at the dorsal surface of the medulla oblongata and consisted of neurons, glial cells, and both continuous and fenestrated capillaries enmeshed in a rich neuropil. The ventricular surface of the mink AP was covered by a single layer of tanycytes except at its most caudal part that was covered by a basal membrane derived from the pia mater. Supraependymal cells and intraventricular axons were also a common finding over the apical poles of tanycytes. However, our study demonstrates that the mink AP acquires the above general features at an advanced postnatal time and that, once fully developed, it undergoes morphological changes that can be directly linked to the aging process and sexual activity of the animals.

Size-exclusion chromatography of macromolecules: a brief tutorial overview on fundamentals with computational tools for data analysis and determination of structural information
(MDPI, 2025-02-22) Henández-Cifre, José Ginés; Collado-González, Mar; Díaz Baños, F. Guillermo; García de la Torre, José; Química Física; Ingeniería Química; Biología Celular e Histología
Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) is presently a widely used and very informative technique for the characterization of macromolecules in solution. Beyond the first implementations of SEC—which required cumbersome column calibrations and were mainly intended for the determination of molecular weights—the modern SEC approach involving multiple detectors (md-SEC) is based on solution properties such as intrinsic viscosity and light scattering. Thus, md-SEC enables the direct and more efficient determination of molecular weights, as well as the determination of relationships between property and molecular weight, which can be quite useful in structural studies. Here, we first present a review of the fundamental aspects of the dilute-solution properties of macromolecules—particularly the differential refractive index, intrinsic viscosity, and scattering-related properties—on which the various detectors involved in md-SEC are based. Then, we developed SECtools, a suite of public-domain, open-source computer programs, which allow for the full analysis of md-SEC chromatograms. These analyses range from just the recorded raw signals (mV) of the detectors to a full determination of molecular weight averages and distributions. The use of these programs is illustrated through experimental studies using various samples.

Stilbenes: Characterization, bioactivity, encapsulation and structural modifications. A review of their current limitations and promising approaches
(Taylor and Francis Group, 2022-03-02) Navarro Orcajada, Silvia; Vidal Sánchez, Francisco José; Albadelejo Maricó, Lorena; Matencio Durán, Adrián; Conesa Valverde, Irene; López Nicolás, José Manuel; Vidal Sánchez, Francisco José; García Carmona, Francisco; Bioquímica y Biología Molecular A
Stilbenes are phenolic compounds naturally synthesized as secondary metabolites by the shikimate pathway in plants. Research on them has increased in recent years due to their therapeutic potential as antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, cardioprotective and anti-obesity agents. Amongst them, resveratrol has attracted the most attention, although there are other natural and synthesized stilbenes with enhanced properties. However, stilbenes have some physicochemical and pharmacokinetic problems that need to be overcome before considering their applications. Human clinical evidence of their bioactivity is still controversial due to this fact and hence, exhaustive basis science on stilbenes is needed before applied science. This review gathers the main physicochemical and biological properties of natural stilbenes, establishes structure-activity relationships among them, emphasizing the current problems that limit their applications and presenting some promising approaches to overcome these issues: the encapsulation in different agents and the structural modification to obtain novel stilbenes with better features. The bioactivity of stilbenes should move from promising to evident.
