    Apuntes sociológicos de las inmigrantes suramericanas (Ecuador, Bolivia y Colombia) en Mallorca

    Se trata de visibilizar y mostrar las desigualdades de género en el marco de la diversidad cultural, en un contexto de multiculturalidad transcultural jerarquizada en Mallorca como sociedad receptora. Para constatar estos planteamientos se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad a mujeres afro-ecuatorianas y originarias, emigradas de Suramérica hacia Mallorca, registrando sus respuestas en un cuestionario-guía preestablecido. Éste fue contestado por 39 mujeres de origen étnico afro-ecuatoriano y originarias de Ecuador, Colombia y Bolivia. Estas mujeres constituyen una muestra y un ejemplo significativo de la feminización de la migración y la supervivencia colectiva

    Desafíos educativos en la construcción del espacio cultural-social común en Sudamérica

    Este trabajo analiza desde la educación superior, el contexto de América latina y los procesos de integración. En este marco se trabaja el rol de las Instituciones de Educación Superior, los avances en la convergencia del espacio de educación superior sudamericano. Se plantean en dos partes: primera expone las diferentes propuestas de integración que se desarrollan en Sudamérica, y la otra, basada en los procesos de integración académica, posibilidades y propuestas desde los espacios de educación superior sudamericanos. Los principales hallazgos son los desafíos y pautas de acción para la implementación del espacio de educación superior en Sudamérica.

    Didymodon buckii (Pottiaceae), a new moss species from the Neotropics

    Didymodon buckii J.A.Jiménez & M.J.Cano is described as a new species from central Peru and northwestern Argentina. It is readily distinguished from all congeners by having bistratose to tetrastratose leaf margins from the apex to near the base and long-cylindric, thickened and deciduous leaf apices that are strongly channeled ventrally. Additionally, the new moss is characterized by its linear-oblong leaves, papillose distal laminal cells, and costa with a hyaline area of rectangular cells on the distal ventral surface and with ventral stereids below midleaf. Drawings and light microscope photographs of the main characters are given, and possible confusion with other closely related taxa is discussed. Distribution of the new species is mapped.

    Erythrophyllopsis perlaticosta M.J.Cano & J.A.Jiménez (Pottiaceae) a new species from the Peruvian Andes

    Introduction. Over the last years we have been engaged in studies of the South American Pottiaceae. Among the bryophyte specimens collected by us in central and northern Peru, some samples of a puzzling Pottiaceae were found. In this paper, we present our arguments for recognising these plants as a new species and its inclusion in Erythrophyllopsis Broth. Key Results. It differs most saliently from other species of Erythrophyllopsis by the combination of its oblong-ovate to ovate-lanceolate leaves, with usually fragile apex, leaf margins papillose-crenulate from apex to lower third, sometimes erose or crenate, lamina unistratose, occasionally bistratose in patches, costa broad, usually ending below the apex, without dorsal stereids near the apex where they are replaced by cells similar to those of the lamina, and short and straight peristome teeth. Conclusions. A new moss species, Erythrophyllopsis perlaticosta M.J.Cano & J.A.Jiménez, is described and illustrated from the Andean highlands in central and northern Peru. A revised identification key for the species of Erythrophyllopsis is also provided. This species grows in crevices or fissures of calcareous rocks or banks between 3050 and 4700 m. The principal distinctive characters that separate it from the nearest species of Erythrophyllopsis and related genera such as Bryoerythrophyllum P.C.Chen and Mironia R.H.Zander are discussed.

    Integrative taxonomy reveals hidden diversity in the Aloina catillum Complex (Pottiaceae, Bryophyta)

    Aloina catillum is a variable moss typical of xerophytic environments in the Neotropics, characterized against other closely allied Aloina species with well-differentiated leaf border by its setae twisted to the left throughout. In order to clarify its variability and its relationships with the allied species with differentiated leaf border A. brevirostris, A. obliquifolia, and A. rigida, we performed an integrative study including sequence data from four markers (nuclear ITS, plastid atpB-rbcL, trnG, trnL-F), morphometry, and species assembling by automatic partitioning (ASAP) algorithm. Our data suggest that A. catillum consists of at least three species: A. calceolifolia (an earlier name for A. catillum), and two species described here as a new, A. bracteata sp. nov. and A. limbata sp. nov. This latter species includes the specimens previously identified as A. obliquifolia from South America. Additionally, some morphological and molecular variability was also detected in A. limbata, but was not consistent enough to be recognized taxonomically. The study supports the presence of A. brevirostris in the Neotropics and A. rigida is tentatively excluded from South America. Full descriptions of the A. catillum s.l. species and a diagnostic key to this complex in South America are provided.

    Primer registro del género Coelocephalapion Wagner, 1914 (Coleoptera: Brentidae: Apioninae) en botones florales de Platymiscium diadelphum S.F. Blake (Leguminosae) en el estado Lara, Venezuela

    El género Coelocephalapion Wagner, 1914 está asociado principalmente a Leguminosae y Asteraceae. El objetivo del trabajo fue registrar por primera vez la presencia del género Coelocephalapion en botones florales de Platymiscium diadelphum S.F. Blake (Leguminosae) en el estado Lara, Venezuela. Ésta información representa el primer reporte de Coelocephalapion para la región centro occidental del país, contribuyendo a aumentar los datos de distribución geográfica para Sudamérica.
