(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2024) Juita, Ardiah; Tomoliyus; Hariono, Awan; Syahriadi; Sukamti, Endang Rini; Fauzi; Alim, Abdul; Prabowo, Trisnar Adi
The aim of this study wasto assess the correlation between each variable of service quality and coach competency and their impact on the achievement of basketball athletes, with motivation acting as a mediatingvariable in this relationship. This studyis a correlational descriptive study using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach with the help of smart PLS. The study comprised a sample of 100 basketball student-athletes from Riau province. Data collection involved the use of questionnaires; however, to complement this quantitative approach, interviews with athletes are still considered necessary as a qualitative method. The results revealed that the coach's competency significantly relates to the achievement, with a p-value of 0.004, the competency of the coach to the motivation with apvalue of 0.000, the motivation to the achievement (p < 0.000), the quality ofservice to the achievement of (p< 0.001), the quality of service to the motivation (p < 0.003), the competency of the coach to the achievement of the motivation (< 0.000), the quality of service to the achievement of the motivation (p < 0.007). The quality of service and competence of basketball coaches has a strong relationship with the achievements of basketball athletes. Motivation also plays an important role as a mediating variable, demonstrating that the quality of service and the competence of basketball coaches can significantly enhance the achievement of student basketball athletes through motivation. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as a reference to coaches, sports academics, official basketball clubs, and related parties in basketball to pay more attention to the quality of service, especially training sites and competent coaches.

The effect of service quality on the safety of boxing athletes' training in Indonesia
(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2024) Prabowo, Trisnar Adi; Sukamti, Endang Rini; Sukamti; Tomoliyus; Hariono, Awan
This descriptive correlational study aimed at investigating the correlation between service quality andtraining safety, elucidating the significance of service quality in ensuring the safety of boxing athletesduring their training. The study used a Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach. The data wascollected from 220 boxers, averaging an age of 21±2.0 years and possessing an average trainingexperience of 8±0.8 years. The data analysis in this research utilized the assistance of Smart PLS.Researcherscategorizedservicequalityvariablesintofivedistinctfactors:tangible, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. Safety variables were divided into two categories: healthand comfort. This categorization resulted in a total of 25 indicators reflected in the questionnaireresults. The outcomes of hypothesis testing indicate significant relationships: tangible and empathyfactors significantly impact both health and comfort, while reliability and responsiveness notablyinfluence comfort. Additionally, the factor of assurance demonstratesa substantial influence onhealth (p<0.05). However, there were observations where reliability and responsiveness did notexhibit a significant impact on health, and assurance did not significantly affect comfort (p>0.05).These instances suggest a lack of statistical relationship between the independent and dependentvariables in these specific cases. The training facilities used by boxers must pay attention tothe levelof safety by improving the quality of service from the club or organization. The results of thisresearch are expected to be a reference for sports practitioners, academics, facility owners or sportsclubs, to pay more attention to service quality to increase safety when practicing. Further research isexpected to ensure that training safety variables can be studied in more detail by developing specialinstrumentsand larger specificpopulations, especiallycombat sports.

The impact of service quality, family support, and coach-athlete intimacy on the achievement performance of student-athletes through motivation as a mediator
(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2024) Mandan, Ali; Tomoliyus; Alim, Abdul; Endang Rini, Sukamti; Fauzi; Hariono, Awan; Prabowo, Trisnar Adi
This study aimedat measuring service quality, family support, coach-athlete intimacy to student-athlete achievement performance through motivation as a mediator. This was a correlational descriptive study that utilized the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) approach with the assistance of Smart PLS. The researchers developed an instrument based on previous research data with a scale of 1–4. The subjects of this study were 125 Riau province student-athletes who will compete at POPNAS (National Student Sports Week) in Indonesia. Subjects consisted of 73 male athletes and 52 female athletes aged 15 ± 1.6 years. For data analysis, we used Smart PLS. The structural relationship model testing generated ten hypotheses. Among these, only the relationship between Coach-Athlete Intimacy and Achievement Performance showed a p-value of 0.532 > 0.05, indicating a lack of significant effect. However, the remaining nine hypotheses demonstrated a significant effect. The research model fulfills the fit model criteria, with data based on an SRMR (Standardized Root Mean Square) value of 0.064.The publication of this study anticipates improvements in service quality, family support, and nurturing coach-athlete relationships to enhance athlete motivation and achievement performance. Further research endeavors are essential to expand the sample size and explore additional variables influencing sports achievement.
