- PublicationOpen AccessA Review of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Research with Sustainability Reporting : 1999-2020 dataset(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2023) E-Vahdati, Sahar; Aripin, NorhaniThis review paper aims to identify the main areas of studies in the field of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) research with sustainability reports. Using a bibliometric analysis, this study evaluated 955 published documents retrieved from the Scopus database to find a research review structure on GRI with sustainability topics from 1999 to 2020 by utilizing the bibliometric package in VOSviewer and Harzing’s Publish or Perish. This paper examined the most effective journals, authors, countries, institutions, subject area, keywords, citation, co-authorship, co-citation, bibliographic coupling, and co-occurrences networks. Also, this paper demonstrated the intellectual structure of the research and perceived obstacles to growth in the literature. The results show that the trend of publications has been growing over the past 20 years. This study offers a comprehensive understanding and publication of past studies trends and suggests that it will be a much greater number of articles in this field over the next decade which help the future direction of researchers in this area.
- PublicationOpen AccessCobertura y solapamiento de Web of Science y Scopus en el análisis de la actividad científica española en psicología(Murcia: Universidad de Murcia, Editum, 2013-10) Osca-Lluch, Julia; Miguel, Sandra; González, Claudia; Peñaranda Ortega, María; Quiñones-Vidal, ElenaEste estudio tiene como primer objetivo conocer el volumen y evolución de la producción científica española en psicología a partir de las bases de datos del Web of Science (Thomson Reuters) y Scopus (Elsevier), durante el periodo 2000-2009. A partir de allí, se propone determinar cuáles son las revistas científicas más utilizadas por los psicólogos españoles para difundir sus trabajos a nivel internacional y comparar la cobertura y solapamiento de revistas y documentos que presentan ambas bases de datos. Se ofrecen datos cuantitativos, se estudia la posible correlación entre las dos bases de datos y se analiza el solapamiento de documentos y de revistas, el modelo de crecimiento que presentan y la dispersión de los trabajos, entre otros. Los resultados muestran que ambos sistemas de información son complementarios pero no excluyentes, así como la relevancia e importancia de las revistas españolas de psicología en la difusión de la investigación de esta disciplina en el contexto internacional de la ciencia.
- PublicationOpen AccessEducational technology in physical education learning: A bibliometric analysis using Scopus database(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de publicaciones, 2022) Elra Perdima, Feby; Suwarni, Suwarni; Gazali, NovriThe primary aim of the present study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the journal articles published in Scopus database on educational technology in physical education learning. In accordance with the objectives of this study, a systematic search was carried out in the Scopus database, which included high-quality scientific literature in more than 250 disciplines, including social sciences, and humanities. “Technology and Physical Education", followed by “Education" and "School" were the primary search terms used for the identification of studies and several health based databases were searched in English language literature in the Scopus database from 1999-2021. A total of 131 journal articles were published in the Scopus database within the time line of 1999-2021. A very low amount of literature was available relevant to technology and physical education within the timeframe of 1999 to 2009. Based on publications in the Scopus database, the findings revealed that: 1) The number of publications has increased, although there was an up-and-down trend from year to year. 2) Most of the publications were written by researchers located in several countries and universities. 3) “Structure and content of the educational technology of managing students' healthy lifestyle” written by Alexander & Vladislav (2015) was the most cited article with 46 citations. 4) Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia, was found to be the most productive institution with 5 publications. 5) The keyword with the highest number of occurrences (19) in the research sample was “educational technology selection”.

Servicio de publicaciones, 2020) Corral Marfil, José Antonio; Espejo Marín, CayetanoLos objetivos son analizar los artículos publicados en Cuadernos de Turismo y valorar la evolución de la revista. Se estudian los hitos históricos, la distribución de frecuencias de los artículos y las autorías, el origen geográfico e institucional de las autorías, las temáticas y los territorios investigados, el impacto científico, el origen de las citas recibidas y el destino de las citas emitidas. A pesar de la concentración de autorías de España, la revista ha ganado influencia en Iberoamérica. Las temáticas están globalmente en sintonía con la investigación turística internacional. Entre las causas del creciente impacto de la revista, se encuentra la adaptación a los notables cambios que se han producido durante las dos últimas décadas en el entorno de las publicaciones académicas.
PublicationOpen AccessResearch trends in physical activity and breast cancer: a 25-year bibliometric analysis (2000–2025) using the bibliometrix R package(2026-01-06) Navarro Martínez, Carlos; Villarejo García, Diego; Becerra Patiño, Boryi Alexander; Pino Ortega, José; Actividad Física y Deporte; Facultad de Ciencias del DeporteIntroduction: Research on physical activity and breast cancer has grown steadily over the past 25 years, with a progressive shift from physiological and safety-related questions towards clinical, psychosocial and implementation domains. Objective: To describe research trends, key actors and thematic foci in the scientific literature on physical activity and breast cancer between 2000 and 2025. Methods: We included articles and reviews without language restrictions, published between 2000 and 2025 and indexed in Scopus, PubMed and Web of Science. Records were exported in CSV format and analysed using the Bibliometrix package in R. We described publication and citation volume, collaboration patterns (countries, institutions and authors), core journals according to Bradford’s law, and the semantic evolution of the field based on keyword co-occurrence and trend topics. Results: We identified 13,329 documents on physical activity and breast cancer, with a sustained increase in both publications and citations over the study period. A marked geographical concentration was observed, with leadership by high-income, mainly Anglophone countries and a limited number of specialised editorial cores, as well as a small group of highly influential authors. The thematic analysis showed a shift from studies focused on functional capacity and safety towards clinical practice guidelines, survivorship and quality of life, alongside emerging lines such as prehabilitation, remote interventions and tele-exercise. Conclusions: The field of physical activity and breast cancer shows a high and growing scientific output with a clear clinical orientation. Integrating exercise prescription into oncological care pathways, defining and standardising dose–response schemes according to tumour phenotype and clinical context, and expanding multicentre studies that include under-represented regions and populations—particularly in low- and middle-income countries—are recommended priorities for future research and practice.- PublicationOpen AccessScopus: Búsquedas, creación de alertas y listas de datos(Biblioteca de la Universidad de Murcia, ) López Pérez, Andrea; Biblioteca Universitaria
- PublicationOpen AccessWeb of science vs. scopus: un estudio cuantitativo en ingeniería química(Murcia, Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) Escalona Fernández, María Isabel; Lagar Barbosa, Pilar; Pulgarín Guerrero, AntonioEl propósito de este estudio es ofrecer a los investigadores químicos, una visión clara y práctica, aplicando métodos cuantitativos, sobre las dos plataformas de información científica más extendidas hoy día: Web of Science (Thomson Reuters) y Scopus (Elsevier). Se llevaron a cabo, en ambas bases de datos una búsqueda especializada en el área de la ingeniería química, entre 1999 y 2008. A través de los artículos recuperados en las búsquedas, durante esos diez años, y las revistas recuperadas de 2006, se analiza la posible correlación entre ambos sistemas; el modelo de crecimiento que presentan y ciertos parámetros de ese crecimiento; el solapamiento entre las dos bases de datos, la dispersión de los artículos en las revistas y medidas de concentración, entre otros. Los resultados muestran la existencia de una alta semejanza entre Web of Science y Scopus, resultando complementarios, pero no excluyentes, respecto a su posible utilización por los ingenieros químicos.
