This work presents a research on University teachers’ beliefs about education on the basis of Implicit Theories model. On one hand, we intend to establish the tipicity of different cultural theories about education (Traditional, Active, Constructivistic, Critical, and Technical). On the other hand, the role of ten educational domains (Knowledge, Learning and the pupil, Discipline and management, Teacher-pupil interaction, Materials, Evaluation, Teaching, Teacher, and Social environment) was analysed in detail, relating them to the above mentioned theories. Finally, underlying Implicit Theories structure (beliefs synthesis or attributional teacher knowledge) in higher education teachers was stated.
