This article aims to confirm this assertion through Domingo de Santo Tomás' thought, author of the first Quechua language grammar. The praise of the native language by the grammarian also leaves its mark on the grammatization procedures, which are conditioned by the relationships established between the target language, the metalanguage and the reference languages.
