    Razón natural y racionalidad política en el Leviatan de Thomas Hobbes

    The author analyses the political rationality that appears in Hobbes' Leviathan. For that purpose, she first studies the psychological elements, the passions and reason in a natural state. She then approaches the role that these elements play when time comes to build the artifice that the state is. Finally, she analyses the notion of political rationality that emerged with the state and its relationship with natural passions and reason.

    Saavedra fajardo, en los multiples espejos d ela política barroca.

    This essay, inspired by Walter Benjamin's reflections on the spirit of German baroque drama, is centred on the two big metaphors of human life destined to produce an idea of «identity»: theatre and mirror. All of Saavedra Fajardo's work can be catalogued as producing «concepts for the eyes». The paradox of the Baroque period resides in that the identity-producing media make it possible due to the proliferation of images it generates.
