The de fi ned fi rst ones as he literatures of the exigüité like told by François Pare, con fi ne themselves to their zone of production : their authorities of legitimacy conferring them only a vague visibility at the world level. The second group longs to be born in France, to be crowned by the French-Parisian literary fi eld and to integrate the world literature. To do it, the African writers of the Diaspora set up strategies of valuation for their acceptance in the French-speaking literary system. The article analyzes these strategies and these postures of authors’ valuation and esthetic to reach the Republic of Letters.
