On one hand, we intend to track some echoes of Dante's Inferno through Jabes' text, highlighting its presence in a particularly innovative place for the intertext: the number of pages, an element of the book as an object. On the other hand, taking as a starting point the analysis of the incipit, we pose specularity as a main figure of construction of the text, then moving the inquiry into Jabes' vision of Hell as a closed place of suffering, individualized in Auschwitz.
