- PublicationOpen AccessAnalysis of the participation of women in football in Indonesia(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de publicaciones, 2022) Iqbal Doewes, Rumi; Nuryadin, IslahuzzamanIn general, football is considered a male-dominated sport but recent trends show a significant improvement in women’s participation in the sport. The aim of this study was to identify and explain the reasons for women’s participation in football in Indonesia. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 29 female athletes of the Indonesian women’s national football team using the Participation Motivation Questionnaire (PMQ) assessed by Guttman scale. The data was analyzed using a descriptive percentage approach and then grouped based on participation criteria. The results showed that more than half of the women participants in football in Indonesia were 17 years old (53%) and had a senior high school education (66%). Most of the time, women participants were encouraged by peers (87%), parents (86%), facilities and infrastructures (97%), awareness (76%), interest (79%), attachment (87%), and loyalty (90%). Participation rates were also influenced by the existence of football clubs (100%) and the training programs implemented (100%). It is concluded that women’s football participation in Indonesia is largely influenced by micro-level factors (peers and parents), macro-level factors (existence of football clubs, their facilities and infrastructures, and their training programs), and psycho-sociological factors (awareness, interest, attachment and loyalty).
- PublicationOpen AccessDataset used for the study entitled: Assessment of Functional Asymmetry in Breast Cancer Survivors Using Inertial Devices(Universidad de Murcia, 2025-07-18) Navarro Martínez, Carlos; Pino Ortega, José; Villarejo García, Diego; Actividad Física y Deporte; Facultad de Ciencias del DeporteBreast cancer (BC), despite its high survival rate, can lead to significant functional sequelae in the glenohumeral joint following surgical intervention. The present study explores the possible influence of the operated side on angular velocity during a lateral opening test, comparing the intervened arm with the non-operated arm, as a potential indicator of functional asymmetry. This is an observational study with a comparative cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 22 women, with a mean age of 55.95 ± 6.34 years, who were BC survivors and had undergone surgery on only one arm. Angular velocity was recorded in both arms at 1000 Hz for 15 repetitions on an inclined bench with a 2 kg load, using the WIMU PRO™ inertial device. The results, analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA, showed a significant interaction between the evaluated arm and the operated side (p = 0.001), suggesting lower velocity in the affected arm. This difference could indicate the existence of postoperative functional asymmetries, which would have relevant implications for the prescription of individualized therapeutic exercise. The use of angular velocity as a complementary tool for functional assessment in rehabilitation programs for BC survivors is suggested.

- PublicationRestrictedLa representación de la maternidad en la literatura italiana contemporánea(Taylor & Francis Group, Routledge, 2020-03-06) Reyes Ferrer, María; Filología Francesa, Románica, Italiana y ÁrabeMotherhood is a recurring topic in Italian literature written by women and many recent literary studies have focused on the mother-daughter bound. Nevertheless, in these novels, it is more frequent to learn about mother-daughter relationships from the point of view of the daughter than from the mother’s view. The purpose of the following paper will be to discuss the possible causes that led to the silence of the mother’s voice and to analyze a new approach towards motherhood and mother-daughter relationship in three novels narrated through the mother’s view: I giorni dell’abbandono (2002) by Elena Ferrante; Lo spazio bianco (2008) by Valeria Parrella and La figlia sbagliata (2015) by Raffaela Romagnolo.
- PublicationOpen AccessTechnical and tactical performance in professional female futsal players: a descriptive analysis depending on teams level and playing group(Taylor and Francis Group, 2024-07-26) Villarejo García, Diego; González Fernández, Francisco Tomás; RicoGonzález, Markel; Pino Ortega, José; Del Rosso, Sebastian; Puche Ortuño, Daniel; Actividad Física y Deporte; Facultades de la UMU::Facultad de Ciencias del DeporteAmong the many factors that can affect women’s futsal performance, technical and tactical actions can obscure relevant game data, even affecting specialists in both the programming and design of training tasks. This study describes the technical and tactical actions in elite futsal teams, analysing performance measures according to the playing group and team ranking level. One hundred and twenty-eight games from an Elite League in the 2020/ 2021 season were observed. The variables analysed were grouped into three groups: “Goals and Rules”, “Attack” and “Defence”. The two-way mixed ANOVA analysis revealed significant effects on attack variables, emphasising Shot to the Post (STP) variable (F1.2 = 19.13, p = .04, η2 = .90), Throw-in For (TIF) variable (F1.2 = 75.00, p = .01, η2 = .97) and between Defence I (I) variables and playing group condition (F2.4 = 8.74, p = .03, η2 = .81). This study observed how consistently those teams positioned at the top developed a higher goal average compared to those teams further down the ranking. The study highlights the significance of the offensive part and the number of goals in the game system and how achieving good numbers in this area can influence. Coaches and athletes can use the intraclass correlation coefficient to demonstrate how specific technical and tactical actions impact performance.
