    Four years after the catastrophe, are educational institutions in the Region of Murcia in Spain prepared for the next seismic disaster?

    A magnitude 6.0 or more earthquake is expected on the Alhama de Murcia fault, the most active in the region of Murcia, located in the south-eastern Spain. On May 11th 2011, within one hour and 42 minutes period, a magnitude 4.5 and a magnitude 5.1 earthquakes shake the towns of Lorca and Totana, killing nine people and injuring 330. However, four years after the catastrophe, these towns do not seem to be prepared to face a moderate earthquake. All elements are gathered to result in a disaster, i.e. a surface geomorphology conducive for site effects, constructions which do not comply the earthquake-resistant requirements and a lack of knowledge from the population about the seismic risk. This study proposes an analysis of the level of vulnerability of educational institutions against the seismic risk in Lorca and Totana based on creating a vulnerability index which considers social and structural risk factors. As well as a series of mitigation measures proposals to face the next major seismic disaster.

    Interacciones entre Educación Secundaria y Educación Social. Un análisis de la formación inicial de sus profesionales en las universidades españolas

    Considerando insoslayable la función socioeducativa y socializadora de la escuela, y la orientación al logro de las competencias sociales legisladas para el alumnado, en el artículo se examinan los planes de estudios del Grado en Educación Social y del Máster de Educación Secundaria, entendiendo que ambos profesionales han de capacitarse para desarrollar funciones complementarias en este ámbito. Para ello se realiza un análisis de contenido de los programas de las materias con indicadores predefinidos, mostrando los resultados la debilidad formativa del profesorado en aspectos sociales esenciales, y de las y los educadores sociales en el conocimiento del ámbito escolar.

    Management of pedagogical and sports educational institutions in Ukraine

    The educational system is an essential component and determinant of social development since education functioning quality determines and forms the intellectual potential of society. This article aimed to identify the main trends and promising areas of optimization of the managing process of pedagogical and sports educational institutions. We studied the tendencies of reforming the management process in the educational sphere and the application of modern approaches to the management of pedagogical and sports educational institutions, as well as areas of reforming the academic sphere. This practical, cross-sectional study was carried out through an online survey of 37 managers and teachers of sports and pedagogical educational institutions located in Ukraine. Our study showed that the management process of sports and pedagogical educational institutions can be effective only if it is scientifically substantiated and implemented following the goals of strategic development of educational institutions. The functioning of the management mechanism is based on the understanding of management as a particular function that ensures the feasibility and quality of an educational institution's management. Management approaches are focused on studying the relationships between the components of the management system, external and internal conditions of the institution, and the results of its activities.

    Vidas a la escena (ajenas y propias). La (auto)biografía como procedimiento dramático: de "La comedia científica o el café" de Negrfn, de José Ramón Fernández a "Los Gondra (una historia vasca)", de Borja Ortiz de Gondra

    Este texto, en homenaje al profesor José Romera Castillo, pretende mostrar la constitución semiótica del 'bio-drama' o del del teatro (auto)biográfico a partir de dos obras dramáticas: Los Gondra (una historia vasca), de Borja Ortiz de Gondra, y La comedia cientifica o El café de Negrin, de José Ramón Fernández. Dos argumentos son los trabajados, uno de tipo historiográfico --lo memorable-, y otro de carácter antropológico -la familiaridad de las estructuras de la experiencia cotidiana-. Los pormenores de la vida familiar y de la institución educativa, como estructuras de acogida -interpretante dinámico-, hacen de la biografía una materia muy apta para una práctica artística que busca dialogar con la contingencia actual que rodea al ser humano -interpretante final-. La violencia fratricida, la negativa a olvidar, la ausencia de perdón, las ideas enfrentadas; la amistad, la tolerancia, el compromiso, la libertad, la educación, etc., son los interpretantes inmediatos de los textos analizados.
