Las alquerías de la antigua Axarquía de Málaga : asentamiento y características.
(Sociedad Española de Estudios Medievales., 2023) Ortega López, David
This research work deals with the rural settlements of Andalusia located to the east of the land of Malaga, specifically the axarchic farmhouses. Making use of both archaeology and written documentation we have collected twenty-seven farmhouses where we set ourselves the objective of knowing the settlement patterns, as well as their characteristics and urban composition in order to discover where and how they adapted and were arranged in a mostly mountainous physical environment and what differences and similarities existed between them depending on their buildings. The results will allow us to know a large number of unequal settlements in demography and extension which were developed according to the exploitation of rainfed agriculture of the Montes de Málaga.
