Servicio de Publicaciones, 2007-07-01) Hernández Rivero, Víctor; Santana Vega, Lidia Esther; Cruz González, AnaIn this article we describe the desing, development and main results of a study about the consultancy activities of the Guidance Service Team (EOEP, Equipos de Orientación Educativa y Psicopedagógica) in schools (Hernández Rivero, 2004). This study, complementary of other one developed in the whole Canary Island Community (Hernández Rivero, 2002), was carried out in La Orotava VAlley district in the island of Tenerife. The participants were the two EOEP working in that area and a sample of teachers. The basic research questions had to do with what support functions and tasks are developed at schools, how are they carried out by the EOEP and how are they valued by the consultants, the schools and the teachers, which is teh dominant consultancy model, and how the consultants see themselves as professsionals.

Servicio de Publicaciones, 2002) Rebollo Catalán, Mª AngelesThis paper presents an empirical study, whose purpose has been to explore features of claseroom discourse and to identify typical speech genres in school contexts. Startingfrom sociocultural theory and, specifically its contribution aboutsemiotic mediation and its power to generate mentalfunctions, this study fits into the interdisciplinary sphere of «discourse analysis». In the methodological side, it has been explored somepossibilities of multivariant statistics techniques such as multiple correspondence analisys and cluster analisys in order to caraceterice classroom discourse and to identify ways of classroom discourse.
