    (2016-05-05) Segura Zariquiegui, Ainhoa
This article tries to analize the decadentism of Peruvian author Clemente Palma (1872-1946) and the crisis of values in Peru. Son of the distinguished romantic, Ricardo Palma, Clemente Palma become writer as his father. One of the most out-standing influences of the Modernism was the Decadentism. Clemente Palma is the best exponent of the Peruvian Decadentism. Thank to him, we can analyze the connection that, arising from the Symbolism and the Frech Decadentism, comes up to America and more specifically, to Peru. And also we can develop how Peru is affected by European philosophical, artistic and ideological influences and to observe the development of the religious crisis, patricarchal crisis and aristocratic crisis.
