- PublicationOpen AccessConstruction and application effect of coach competency model in volleyball(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2024) Wang, Danyi; Bo, XuesongConstructing a competence model for volleyball coaches tailored to school characteristics has recently gained importance. This study aimed to clarify the competency model construction and its application effect. The study developed a volleyball coach competence model centered on knowledge, skills, professional roles, attitudes, and motivation. A quantitative methodology was used to assess the relationships between these dimensions and coaching performance, emphasizing teaching quality and overall effectiveness. The model drew from theoretical frameworks, including the Iceberg Model and the Onion Model. The sample consisted of 120 volleyball coaches. The correlation analysis revealed significant relationships among knowledge competence, skill competence, professional role, work attitude, work motivation, educational process factors, and educational target factors (pY1 < 0.05, pY2 < 0.05, and r > 0.1). The regression results indicated that gender, professional title, knowledge competence, professional competence, professional role, and work attitude positively influenced the achievement of the competency application effect (p < 0.05 and β > 0). In contrast, work motivation, age, teaching experience, education level, and salary showed no statistically significant impact (p > 0.05). Volleyball coaches' competence is essential for effective teaching and training, directly enhancing athletes' skills and performance. The model also improves coaches' quality and application ability, leading to increased athlete satisfaction and better training outcomes.
- PublicationOpen AccessCorporate Social Responsibility as a vehicle for ensuring the survival of construction SMEs. The mediating role of job satisfaction and innovation(2021) León Gómez, Ana; Santos Jaén, José Manuel; Palacios Manzano, Mercedes; Economía Financiera y ContabilidadThe purpose of this article is to analyze the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on performance through the mediating role of job satisfaction and innovation in a sample of 503 Spanish SMEs construction. Developing a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test our hypotheses, the results provide evidence that performance is influenced by CSR, job satisfaction, and innovation. These effects are not only direct and positive but, indirect effects which allow the positive effects of CSR to be enhanced are also obtained. This article by empir ically examining the relationship between CSR, job satisfaction, innovation, and performance provides an essential contribution to the literature by filling a gap related to the direct effect of CSR on performance, and the indirect effect by the mediation of job satisfaction and innovation. The findings show significant implications for policymakers and managers. The findings can help managers to invest in CSR, which, by improving the well-being of their employees and the innovative capacity of their company, will lead to better performance and the capacity to adapt to the current changing environment. In addition, our results provide evidence that SMEs with fewer resources should be able to count on public support to carry out CSR practices.
- PublicationOpen AccessOn pseudo-coordination in Spanish.(2020-05-05) Bravo, Ana; Lengua Española y Lingüística GeneralPseudo-coordination, that is, sequences of a least two verbs of the form raise a number of problems that stem from the fact that they share properties with a wide range of different syntactic phenomena. As regards Sp. schema, in this paper I address the discussion of whether it qualifies as a verbal periphrasis or not. A number of arguments are provided that show that the relation between V1 and V2 is not that of auxiliarization. Likewise, it is argued that its meaning is not aspectual. Instead, a stance is taken in favour of the analysis that argue that it is discourse related. In addition to this, it is shown that Sp. pseudo-coordinatives are subject to a high variation. Namely, V1 verbs may be divided into two big classes: go-class verbs, highly grammaticalized and, take-class verbs, less grammaticalized and with an agentive meaning. In addition to this, va y lit. goes and functions as an adverb, similarly to puede que lit. can that, ‘maybe’.
