This study aims to observe the presence of staphylococci and Enterobacteriaceae of clinical interest in griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus). Cloacal swabs from birds both in wild and in captivity were sampled. Eight staphylococcal species and six enterobacteria species were identified by classical biochemical tests or API,and their sensitivity profile to seventeen antibiotics was determined. The presence of these bacteria could involve a risk to Public Health, environment and wildlife. It would be necessary to study further the wildlife community to know the evolution of these infectious agents.
